Kathi Lange

Kathi J. Lange, MSW, ACSW, LCSW, LMFT, ICAC II is the Founder and President of Families United, Inc., a multi-county private agency serving children and families in Fountain, Warren, Benton, White, Tippecanoe, Montgomery, and Boone counties. The agency is located in Attica, Indiana with satellite offices in Lafayette, Monticello & Crawfordsville, Indiana. Families United, Inc. is a state certified woman owned business enterprise. Mrs. Lange specializes in working with children/families and addictions. She has been a pastor's wife in the Assemblies of God churches in Wisconsin and Indiana for over 30 years.

Mrs. Lange has developed numerous family preservation and support programs to meet the needs of rural families. She has designed and implemented the "Family Preservation Project," the "Hope and Recovery" sexual abuse treatment program for victims and offenders and the "Rebound and Recovery" program for parolees coming back into the community with a history of drug and alcohol abuse. Mrs. Lange is an IAAP Certified Clinical Supervisor. In addition, the agency provides the Healthy Families Program, outpatient counseling as well as consulting to local schools and hospitals. Mrs. Lange has oversight of a staff of forty social workers, case managers and therapists who deliver an array of innovative services.

Mrs. Lange received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and her master's degree in social work from Indiana University. She is a graduate of The Family Therapy Institute of Cincinnati and is a practicing Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. In 1990, Mrs. Lange was named a Sagamore of the Wabash by Governor Evan Bayh and in 1993 she was NASW's region IV Social Worker of the Year as well as being the recipient of the Evan Hay Award for Community Service in Fountain County.

In 2003 Mrs. Lange received the "Program Excellence Award" from the Indiana Department of Corrections - Sex Offender Maintenance and Monitoring Program.


In 2004 Mrs. Lange was a finalist in the Tippecanoe County YWCA "Salute to Women Awards". In addition, Governor Joseph Kernan appointed Mrs. Lange to the State Child Fatality Review Committee in July of 2004. She is also an active member of the Fountain, Warren, and Montgomery County Child Protection Teams. Mrs. Lange is a recognized leader in the field of child abuse and neglect.
